Our History
1997
Tech Assets launches it’s first hosting brand, Jumpline.com
2002
After 5 years of explosive growth, the Jumpline customer base is successfully transitioned to a revolutionary new platform – making Tech Assets the first host to utilize virtualization at scale
2005
Tech Assets acquires Eclipse Hosting, the first of many successful acquisitions for the group
2007
Tech Assets makes huge strides in growing its reach, closing three acquisitions: DigitalSpace, a growing host with a custom platform; SurfSpeedy, a host driven by a large reseller base; and OpenSourceHost, catering to the open-source software niche.
2008
Tech Assets sees another year of major growth with the acquisitions of Gemstream and ChristianWebHost, two of the largest hosts previously thought to be “locked in” to a legacy provider’s platform. Additionally, Tech Assets acquires SimpleHost, a popular cPanel brand.
2009
Tech Assets acquires EMAX Hosting and LowCostDomains, adding even more customers to their growing base.
2010
After listening to customers, Tech Assets identifies the need for an easy to use system for installing software on hosting accounts. APSpanel is born and taken to the cPanel Conference 2010, to wide acclaim. HostingRails, the most popular host in the Ruby on Rails market, is also successfully acquired by Tech Assets, adding yet another popular platform to the mix.
2011
Bolstered by continued growth, Tech Assets has it’s busiest year ever – acquiring both HostIcan and WebIntellects, two large hosting companies, as well as 100MegsWebHosting, a popular cPanel host.
2012
Tech Assets identifies the need for a low-cost hosting solution that is powerful yet easy to use. ServFarm is born – it’s low price point and long WordPress-specific feature list make it an instant hit.
2013
Tech Assets launches a new product – SendUser, a mailing list SaaS. The group also acquired Attracta, the world’s largest SEO company with over 3.5 million registered sites. Additionally, TechAssets signed an exclusive licensing deal with Hulk Hogan and launched Hostamania – it’s easy, brother!
2014
Tech Assets acquires VMware-based cloud hosting company init3 and enters the high end hosting market. This new cloud platform has allowed the group to bring in large clients in the healthcare, finance, and marketing verticals. Additionally, TechAssets re-launches SimpleHost as their primary low-cost brand, with simple pricing and reliable service.
2015
Tech Assets launches JVZooHost, a collaboration with the fastest-growing affiliate platform, JVZoo. Additionally, TechAssets enters the mobile development space by launching Wrecking Ball Studio – acquiring & publishing games on iOS and Android.
